Petition to help cancer patients
My mum has Kidney Cancer and its terminal so i have no idea how long she has left. This type of cancer is very difficult to treat because it doesn't respond to chemo or radiotherapy. Her online research has discovered that there is a new drug, which has been licenced for use in this country, but which most people don't know about. It is expensive, but for most people there is no alternative.

This is an irrational situation. Some PCT’s accept the clinical judgement of senior cancer consultants, but other PCT’s force desperately ill patients through a long & complicated exceptional cases/appeals process, then disregard the clinicians opinion and refuse to fund the recommended treatment.
These two drugs are licensed & approved by the European Commission & in the USA as the standard treatment for metastatic RCC. It is unacceptable and immoral that British Kidney Cancer patients, who have no other hope, can be denied these drugs and sentenced to a premature death.
