Altered clock

I recently made this clock for a friend to put in her craft room. I really enjoyed making it and plan to make more.
The swap was part of cyber crop weekend where you had to make something to swap with a partner. It took a while to work out what to do, but when i saw the clock i just knew it had to be this.
For gift i received a lovely purple bead bracelet and mobile phone danglie (will take photo). I've worn the bracelet and people have commented on how lovely it is. So thank you Sarah i love them and will remember you each time i wear it and use my phone.

My night out

I had a brill night with Shelley. We met at the cinema and saw SNAKES ON A PLANE. It stars Samuel L Jackson, it also had the actress who played Nurse Hathaway in ER when it started.
Anyway this was a brilliant film and it really made us laugh out load at times. There was one bit when we knew that snake were loose but they didn't, a man goes into the toilet and theres a snake in the bowl and he unzips his trousers and.......................well you can imagine what happened next. I know it doesn't feel funny but you just knew what was going to happen as soon as he went in there. All the men just winced and crossed their legs. It was a brilliant film an i highly recommend it.

After the film we went back to Shelley's house and had a couple of drinks and then i crashed on her sofa. Sunday was her sons 17th birthday and i was invited to go to the pub for lunch with them. It was really nice. After that i came home.

I got a call from my dad who has Dominic at the moment saying that he'd been sick and had a sore throat and tummy ache so what should he do. Well the first thing is to drug him up on calpol and ibuprofen. I always do this and it works for him. I spoke to him and he was crying and wanted to come home. Poor baby, not nice to be ill when your away from home. I know he's alot better now as they phoned me back to say he was feeling better and they'll phone again tonight. He'll be home on Wednesday and i can give him a big hug and get him ready to go back to school. next week.

So not much more freedom to look forward to.

Off out tonight

Well Ds is on the Isle of Wight with his grand-dad so i have a few days to myself.
For the first time in ages i'm going out tonight. It's with an old friend that i've know forever. I'm meeting her at the cinema to try and see "snakes on a plane". As it's only just out we may not have any luck but we'll try anyway. I'm looking foward to this and i'll let you know how it goes.
Right i must go and get ready.

Inspire Me

Yesterday i started a new blog called INSPIRE ME.
I hope that people will find it really helpful and that i'll find lots of great links to amazing sites. If anyone has a site that i've missed and should be there just let me know and i'll add it.

Another new look

Why is it that sometimes when you are bored you can find the most interesting things?
Last night i found this great site that has free templates for blogs. I had a look through and this is the one i choose. What do you think? I think it's fab.

I also changed my blog to beta which means you don't have to play with the html if you're not good with it. It's a great new way to blog but i can't use it at the moment because i want to use this template. But i do recomend it to everyone else. Go for it as it'll change your blogging life.

Bling

Yesterday I went out for lunch with my mum and we found the most wonderful bargain. We went into mackays and found these jeans in the sale for just £7, aren't they fab. I'm so pleased to have bling on my jeans as I've been admiring them for ages, but as I need a larger size it would have been very expensive to get them.

Ds is at his grandad's at the moment and is home tomorrow so I'm making the most of not having him. He went Monday evening. I do miss him but it's nice to have some time to myself as being a single mum does grind you down sometimes. I just hope that he's enjoying himself, well I'll find out won't I?

Today is my great Aunt's 80th birthday so I wish her many happy returns. I'm taking her out for a cream tea at the end of the month when DS goes the Isle of Wight for a few days.

Well what can I say?
Dom seems to be enjoying his school holidays so far. He's been going and playing with his friends and I've hardly seen him. He's been to the beach once and I've taken him swimming twice.
We went yesterday and took my niece Phoebe and they had a great time as we were in the pool at least 2 hours. Afterwards we had sandwiches on southsea common and then had to get the bus up to my mums and took about an hour.
With all that my arm aches after carrying a heavy bag. Never mind I'll live.

My went to the hospital this week to get the results of a CAT scan she had a little while ago. The good news is that the cancer isn't progressing at the moment, which means no change. So we just have to wait until the scan at the end of the year. As this has been going on for about 2 years now it's doing too badly.

Anyway what have I got planned?
Dom has his swimming lesson as normal on Monday. Wednesday we may go to the cinema. Thursday we will go swimming. Saturday we are going for a family picnic for my Great Aunts 80th birthday.
So hopefully there will be lots for me to blog about as I should try and post everyday.
