After school clubs

As its the second week of the new school term that means that the after school clubs are back on. I managed to get Dom into two different ones. Mondays is Brazilian Football which is all about technique. Fridays is normal football so they can just do normal training.
He enjoyed today's and is looking forward to next weeks.
I'm just glad he's enjoying it.

Just a few photos

These photos were taken yesterday on the Isle of Wight. One is Dom at Godshill where we had a very nice lunch. The others were on the fast cat coming home. He enjoy looking out the window and we had lots to look at. We saw the Oceana cruise ship as it was sailing very slowly in the solent. We got very close to it as we had to go behind her and it got a bit bumpy. She is an amazing looking ship. Dom now wants to go on a cruise ship. Maybe one day you never know. I was silly and didn't get a photo it would have been great. Never mind.

I took this photo of Dom last night wearing his bead that he got for his birthday. He loved wearing it and it really suited him. I'm thinking about him having some silver ones to go with it.

Zoysha

I'm running a couple of swaps and some bits arrived this morning and i wanted to take a some photos. As i was doing it Zoysha thought it would be a good idea to get in the way. So i just have to get a few of her. She is such a lovely looking girl. Hopefully I'll get some of her sister soon.

Yes the walls really are that bright orange. This is my dining room. Its growing on me.

I made this ATC for a friend and I hope she likes it. It is nice and bear but striking. She should get it soon but until then please don't tell her.

Plea for Help

Petition to help cancer patients

My mum has Kidney Cancer and its terminal so i have no idea how long she has left. This type of cancer is very difficult to treat because it doesn't respond to chemo or radiotherapy. Her online research has discovered that there is a new drug, which has been licenced for use in this country, but which most people don't know about. It is expensive, but for most people there is no alternative.

This is an irrational situation. Some PCT’s accept the clinical judgement of senior cancer consultants, but other PCT’s force desperately ill patients through a long & complicated exceptional cases/appeals process, then disregard the clinicians opinion and refuse to fund the recommended treatment.

These two drugs are licensed & approved by the European Commission & in the USA as the standard treatment for metastatic RCC. It is unacceptable and immoral that British Kidney Cancer patients, who have no other hope, can be denied these drugs and sentenced to a premature death.

Stash Buying

For the first time in ages I've brought some stash. I went to a crop and i brought these prima flowers as they are so lush. Yesterday i placed an with Box Room Booty. I got this framedangoe which is just so cute and these brackets. The last thing i got was a pack of three blank pocket folders. There is a book that can be made from these. You can see it being made here.
I do have ideas on what I'm going to do with these so watch this space.

I also ordered some photos last night at 1p a print so i can finally get around to doing some LOs. I have so many planned in my head but i haven't able to do them as I've not had any photos to use. So tomorrow i should hopefully have over 60 to play with. Fingers crossed new LOs will be on my blog soon.

Happy Birthday to Me for yesterday

I'm 30 now.





Its been a good birthday. Here are some some photos that were taken yesterday.
I joined the Pad birthday swap and i got the most wonderful pressie from Angela. you can see it here. It was sat on the side for a week as she sent it early with a great big note on it saying "Do not open until 13th April OR ELSE"
So i was a good girl and waited. It had so many ribbons and fibres on it that i just love it so much. So this is what i got. I am so pleased.
You can see the effort that she put into it.
The card is also fabulous. The way she wrote happy birthday Beth is just so amazing,







not forgetting the way she signed her
name (shes a big doggie lover so its so her).

Just had a fab idea

I've just been looking at blogs and it has given me an idea on what I'm going to do with my EF AJJ Cards. I'm going to make an envelope book.
It will have alot of pages.
Each card will live in its own pocket.
I will decorate the envelope as well. Each one will have the name of the prompt on it.
At the moment this is the best idea that I've had on what to do with them.
I just need to get the right size envelope to make it.
when i've done it i'll post some photos.

DS is getting a hamster

It maybe a really mad thing to do as we have the terrible twins but DS is going to have a Hamster. Hamster and cats aren't always a good mix but we are going for it anyway. Now he is growing up he's happy to have some responsibility.
Yesterday he came to me saying that he wants a dog and i told him that I'm too lazy to have one. He got really upset so we have come up with the idea of a hamster. He has to do certain things first and if he doesn't do them then no hamster. So if everything goes according to plan we will be getting the Hamster at the start of the summer holidays. Yes its a long time to wait but it makes sense as he will be home everyday so they can get used to each other.
The good thing is that i have a cage in my parents loft (if they haven't got rid of it)
