It maybe a really mad thing to do as we have the terrible twins but DS is going to have a Hamster. Hamster and cats aren't always a good mix but we are going for it anyway. Now he is growing up he's happy to have some responsibility.
Yesterday he came to me saying that he wants a dog and i told him that I'm too lazy to have one. He got really upset so we have come up with the idea of a hamster. He has to do certain things first and if he doesn't do them then no hamster. So if everything goes according to plan we will be getting the Hamster at the start of the summer holidays. Yes its a long time to wait but it makes sense as he will be home everyday so they can get used to each other.
The good thing is that i have a cage in my parents loft (if they haven't got rid of it)

DD had a hamster which was just so cute. The only problem was in order to keep it away from the dog she kept it in her bedroom and it kept us all awake every night rattling its exercise wheel LOL
