Another new look
Last night i found this great site that has free templates for blogs. I had a look through and this is the one i choose. What do you think? I think it's fab.
I also changed my blog to beta which means you don't have to play with the html if you're not good with it. It's a great new way to blog but i can't use it at the moment because i want to use this template. But i do recomend it to everyone else. Go for it as it'll change your blogging life.

Bling
Yesterday I went out for lunch with my mum and we found the most wonderful bargain. We went into mackays and found these jeans in the sale for just £7, aren't they fab. I'm so pleased to have bling on my jeans as I've been admiring them for ages, but as I need a larger size it would have been very expensive to get them.Ds is at his grandad's at the moment and is home tomorrow so I'm making the most of not having him. He went Monday evening. I do miss him but it's nice to have some time to myself as being a single mum does grind you down sometimes. I just hope that he's enjoying himself, well I'll find out won't I?
Today is my great Aunt's 80th birthday so I wish her many happy returns. I'm taking her out for a cream tea at the end of the month when DS goes the Isle of Wight for a few days.

I'm Hooked
| Your Eyes Should Be Brown |

| You Don't Need a Man, but You Want One! |
![]() You like having a guy in your life, and overall, you prefer not to be single. You won't go out with a guy out of desperation.. you rather be alone. However, when you're single, you do tend to obsess a little over dating. Because no matter how good your single life is, it's better with a great guy around. |

Have a guess?
| You Are Elektra |
![]() There's really no superhero with more style than you. Because who could beat being sexy assasin ninja? |
| You Are 50% Boyish and 50% Girlish |
You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch. Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes. You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them. You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be. |
| You Are 24% Evil |
![]() A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well. In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil. |
Well
Dom seems to be enjoying his school holidays so far. He's been going and playing with his friends and I've hardly seen him. He's been to the beach once and I've taken him swimming twice.
We went yesterday and took my niece Phoebe and they had a great time as we were in the pool at least 2 hours. Afterwards we had sandwiches on southsea common and then had to get the bus up to my mums and took about an hour.
With all that my arm aches after carrying a heavy bag. Never mind I'll live.
My went to the hospital this week to get the results of a CAT scan she had a little while ago. The good news is that the cancer isn't progressing at the moment, which means no change. So we just have to wait until the scan at the end of the year. As this has been going on for about 2 years now it's doing too badly.
Anyway what have I got planned?
Dom has his swimming lesson as normal on Monday. Wednesday we may go to the cinema. Thursday we will go swimming. Saturday we are going for a family picnic for my Great Aunts 80th birthday.
So hopefully there will be lots for me to blog about as I should try and post everyday.

School holidays
I had better start making plans as to what we are going to do. One thing i do know is that we are going to go swimming once a week and he also has his lesson once a week. But it's the other days. I do feel sorry for him being an only child and not having a set playmate.
Anyway roll on september

One year on tomorrow

I think that they speak for themselves and are powerful and make you think even a year on.In a way it seems so unreal. I don't know about the rest of you but between 9 and 10 in the morning my thoughts will be with everyone that was injured or lost a loved one. I may even light a candle.

This morning
Bloggers are the fastest-growing group of writers in the world. Every day, around 70,000 people - that's one person per second - begins a 'blog': a diary published on the Internet. Many are intensely personal affairs, essentially no different to pen-and-paper journals people have kept for centuries... except they're published instantaneously on the web for the whole world to see. But it isn't just young male geeks doing it - a sizeable proportion of blogs are by women and over-30's.
Proving that truth can indeed be stranger than fiction, playwright Oliver Mann has compiled a play entirely extracted from real blogs, premiering next month at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He joins us now to talk about the blogging phenomenon.
'Bloggers - Real Internet Diaries', daily at 3.10pm, Smirnoff Underbelly, Edinburgh (3rd - 27th August)
What is a blog?
"The most straightforward definition is 'online diary'," Oliver says. "But it's really just a type of web-site which allows its author to update content very easily, with each entry showing a date and time. So it lends itself well to personal diaries, but blogs can be used for all sorts of things. The word 'blog' is an abbreviation for 'weblog'"
What is a post?
'Posts' are individual entries submitted to a blog
What is the blogroll?
The 'blogroll' is the column on the side of some blogs which links through to all the author's favourite blogs
What is the blogosphere?
Blogosphere' is the term used to describe the online community engendered through blogging
There are dozens of sites to choose from when setting up a blog, but amongst the most popular are blogger.com (owned by Google), livejournal.com, and wordpress.com - all of whom offer free accounts.
About Oliver’s Play
Bloggers - Real Internet Diaries is the world's first stage-play entirely extracted from real British blogs. In the script, 10 'characters', played by 5 actors (they all double-up) take turns in addressing the audience in thematically-interlinked monologues. Characters include an agarophobic sex chatline operator (!), a nymphomaniac mum of three, a woman who obsesses about her teenage son, and a predatory bisexual buisnessman.
Oliver first had the idea for the play after discovering the blog of a contemporary of his from school. "My flat-mate and I both went to the same secondary school," he says. "A newsletter goes round; alumni write in and say what they're up to. One day this guy who was a bit of a peripheral character at school, a nerd really, wrote in saying, 'I've got a blog, check it out'. And we had that sort of macabre curiosity- we had to look him up. Turns out he was having a rubbish time - he was at University, as a mature student, but he was depressed, and still a virgin and so on. And, the thing was, there was this girl he liked who clearly liked him, reading between the lines, but he didn't seem to know it! We got completely hooked, constantly checking back for updates to see how this relationship developed. We started reading it out to each other. And that's when I thought, 'hold on, this is just like soap opera. It would be fantastic to recreate this feeling of intimacy in the theatre.”
I think that will be a great play and i'd love to see it but it's to far away so unless it comes down here or on television i'll never see it.

New look
One thing I have done is to add a lot more links to blogs. I pop into these every now and then. I can't list everyone, if I did it would go on forever.
